about Kwa

Kwa is situated in Cape Town's central business district, with easy access to amenities. It has an open-plan design, which we believe will inspire greater I-magi-nation within all who use it. Our facilities are purpose-built to encourage Creat-ivity, ingenuity, and flexibility. The art and music studio are primarily used as workspace for invited artists.

... from a Gallery where we host the works of artists from our community – a community that stretches from Cape Town across the globe.

... to a stage hosting intimate events of a diverse nature: from live music, theatre and dance performances, to films, talks and debates on a wide range of issues.

... to a workshop area, where we explore ways of learning, through conversation and the creative arts, through group singing and visual art workshops. Our criti-ative workshop is designed for children in primary schools together with their teachers and focuses on engaging creatively and critically with the school curriculum, as set out in the new outcomes-based scheme.
