Photo Domino

In this series, I arranged and re-arranged a set of cut outs from old photographs to create different collages, so that the elements repeat themselves across the series. These collages were re-photographed and printed onto emulsion paper. The prints were then toned in Rooibos tea, giving them the red-brownish colour. This technique creates quite a rough texture and edges. This process and the repetitive elements make the prints appear to be antique photographs of an alternate reality that is familiar nonetheless.
